Continuing on this week with our celebration of having reached the milestone of our 300th podcast, we talk about more "game changers" - nuggets of truth that have helped us over the years, and even revolutionized our thinking when it comes to understanding the gospel of God's grace and peace.
Do you think God has saved you to do great stuff for Him? Well, how about the notion that instead of you working for God, HE is at work in you! That's one of the game changers we discuss this week. We also get into some issues that might be somewhat controversial for some people (gee, we've never done that before!) such as talking about whether or not all of Jesus' words are directed to Christians and whether or not the four "Gospels" (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) only contain "gospel" and "New Covenant" teachings.
"Jesus said it, so we live by it." Is that right? "We are to live by the words in the Sermon on the Mount." Is that correct? "If you don't forgive others, God won't forgive you." Really? What about the Law? Is it for Christians to follow?
Hopefully we can set the conditions this week to help give you a breath of fresh air in some of these things as we share some more game-changing concepts this week on Growing in Grace.
